Few would have thought that the Pure Spanish breed was long used as a cavalry horse. Although it has always been renowned for its strength and courage, its main distinguishing feature remains its elegance. The Andalusian is an excellent dressage horse and performs high-flying jumps practiced elsewhere only by Lipizzans at the Spanish Riding School of Vienna.
