A word about Star-Lord: first appearing in 1976 in Marvel Preview #4, Peter Jason Quill has a costume that allows him to survive in the vacuum of space, even without a helmet, and to fly. He can regenerate and protect himself with an energy shield. During his career, he has received a number of cybernetic implants: his left eye allows him to see through energy spectra, his brain is equipped with a memory chip that makes him hypermnetic. He is also a recognized athlete and duelist, with his fists or sword. However, he has vowed never to take a life unless it is absolutely necessary.
