Flash: The character first appeared in 1940 in the pages of Flash Comics #1, and was initially embodied by Jay Garrick and endowed with a winged helmet, like the god Mercury. Jay is a scientist. After exposure to heavy water vapors, he becomes Flash, the hero who moves at a speed close to that of light. He can thus climb skyscrapers or run on water, pass through objects... It will then be Barry Allen, his nephew Wally West and his grandson Bart Allen who will wear the costume, abandoning the helmet for an elegant red and gold hooded bodysuit. Finally, let's add that Flash is a prominent member of the Justice League of America (JLA) and the Justice Society of America (JSA). A very busy man!
