The series of independent video games Five Nights at Freddy's developed by Scott Cawthon has been an immediate success since the first installment. The goal is simple: survive by monitoring the movements of animatronics (a kind of large not-so-friendly plush toys). You find yourself in a room with doors, buttons, and switches where you will constantly have to watch your back to avoid being taken by surprise! Guaranteed chills and jumps! The universe of Five Nights at Freddy's has been such a success that it has been adapted into a novel. A film adaptation is planned!
