Fanny and John Clark, a couple of carefree and greedy comedians, have just adopted two little girls, Lise and Jeanne. Finding this burst of generosity very surprising, Alice investigates the origins of the girls. She soon discovers an abandoned boat, rich clothes and especially a heart-shaped locket...
